Insider claims Daniel Levy wants to make a quick appointment amidst chaos – manager emerges as serious contender

Tottenham Hotspur Chairman Daniel Levy has ramped up the search for a new manager following the chaos that has engulfed the club in recent weeks.

A report from Football Insider has revealed that Levy wants to make a ‘quick appointment’ and is currently in talks with ‘several candidates’.

One of the frontrunners for the job is former Bayern Munich manager, Julian Nagelsmann, who has been reported as the favourite.

However, a new report from ESPN has now suggested that Feyenoord boss, Arne Slot, has also ’emerged as a serious contender’ for the role.

Slot has been making waves in the Dutch league this season, with Feyenoord currently sitting eight points clear at the top of the table. His impressive management skills have garnered significant attention and could make him an attractive prospect for Spurs.

The report from ESPN also reveals that Mainz boss, Bo Svensson, is ‘being considered for the position’, while former Liverpool and Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, has been ‘discussed internally’. The club has made no contact with former Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, as yet.

Tottenham’s management has been in a state of chaos recently. Since the sacking of Conte in March, they have not appointed a permanent manager yet, with Cristian Stellini being named the interim manager. Stellini has since then also been sacked and Ryan Mason was named the interim manager.

With only six games remaining in the season and Ryan Mason at the helm, the club needs to stabilise the situation quickly to avoid missing out on top-class managers and players.

Despite the ongoing recruitment process, Julian Nagelsmann and Arne Slot are currently the two main contenders for the job. Tottenham fans will be hoping that Levy can make a swift appointment and get the club back on track ahead of the next season.
