“I struggle to see how it’s £200m” Pundit Questions Daniel Levy’s ‘Almost Sociopathic’ Mathematics| video

By The Boy -

Always good stuff from Mr. Jordan and this analysis is no exception. With the credibility of ENIC’s representative on earth unravelling almost by the hour, it would be interesting to see a truly independent probe into THFC’s finances and for us to get some true numbers. After all, Levy spoke in his recent video about the amount of money that had been invested in the club, yet failed to make clear that none of the huge numbers spent had come from ENIC; rather it was money raised in the club’s name and then (here’s the sticky bit) only spent on capital assets.

Yet we’re told this line that Spurs cannot compete.

Perhaps Comedy Central might sponsor the stadium?

I’ve just mentioned Paolo di Canio, too, on one of our other blogs.

Alex Crook is spot on in my opinion. There may well have been money to spend, but it would have been £100m for 4/5 players instead of 2. Levy can spin this all he likes, he has shamefully neglected the football side of the club, the only part us fans care about. Anyone who cares for the training facility and stadium are idiots. As for the former, very few top clubs do not have amazing training facilities (Leicester and Liverpool have recently moved in to new facilities) but both won the Prem title without it!

As a token gesture, I have unsubscribed from the Spurs merchandise emails. Imagine if we all did the same, that would be a direct and obvious message from Customer reference numbers to the club. The great thing is it can be done from the comfort of your own home, take ne effort and costs nothing. #unsubscribe

What we are witnessing here is extreme levels of Executive negligence. If ENIC aren’t making advanced movements towards removing Levy from position of power then it’s almost worthless commenting on the situation any longer. The whole thing has entered the twilight zone

It’s all the doing of our brand new sparkly director of football Mr Paratici.
It’s mind-boggling to try and piece together the last couple of weeks, but here’s my take:

Paratici: Here, Poch, we want you back at Spurs. C’mon lad.

Poch: Hmmmmmmmm

Paratici: Mr Conte, we’re ready to sign on the dotted line. It’ll be very soon.

Conte: Super duper.

Paratici: (On the Q.T.) Hey Poch, we’ve got Tony Conte lined up, but we want you; get your arse out of PSG, the job’s yours)

Poch: Nah mate.

Paratici: Mr Fonseca, we love you. We’re gonna sign you, but we’ll leave it a week or so to announce it. Also, give us your input on potential signings.

Fonsecca: Sweet dude, cheers. I’m away on my hollybops.

Paratici: Psssst… Rino…. we’ve Fonsecca lined up here, but we don’t really want him. If you walk out of Fiorentina we’ll tell him to fk off and you’ve got the gig, cos hey, we cant get anybody else dude. Y’up for it?

Gattuso: Aye, sounds good mate.

(Meanwhile Roberto Martinez and Edwin Poots wait patiently for the next “psssst”)

Hard to believe that we have stumbled ingloriously from one managerial candidate to another, like a p*ss-head on a pub crawl, to end up in an inebriated heap in the gutter with Gattuso!

A cursory glance at his CV would suggest a guy with all the mental stability of Paolo di Canio, who has had more managerial ‘one night stands’ than a Soho tart!

Still at least no PC b*llocks to worry about from Gattuso! Who reportedly said he “didn’t see a place in football for women” and dismissed allegations of racist chanting against one of his own former teammates (Kevin Prince-Boateng).

So all in all, a brilliant choice from Paracetamol and Levy! A mentally unstable fascist, who tried to headbutt one of our former assistants after a game and who has won precisely one trophy in 8 years of management!

Yet another PR disaster, regardless of the context of what he may or may not have said.

Gatusso;

Head butted Joe Jordan (when he worked for us)

Has said that “there is no place” for women in football back in 2013.

Sees racist chants as no more concerning than a white player being abused for another reason.

His appointment would be a disaster, I’m hoping this is bullish*t…

He isn’t shrewd, if he was then we would never be in this mess two years after moving to the new stadium. He hasn’t got a clue…

“But Levy time, stadium, facilities…”

I used to think he was horrible with anything football-related but that he was at least clever with money. Recent evidence shows he just might be awful at that too.

What’s the opposite of a jack-of-all-trades?

What WOULD be interesting is how many millions has he put into paying off those 15 sacked managers.

It now looks to me that the DOF appointment was as much out of panic at the realisation that football wise, we have completely lost our way.

The approach to Poch (I believe there was contact) was the first of Daniel’s shameless attempt to try and fast track fixing this mess. Once that looked like a dead end, the whole Paratici thing happened.

Hiring the recently sacked Fonseca should be like shooting fish in a barrel, it’s very hard to miss, it’s very hard to mess up. I feel we are seeing Daniel Levy’s behaviour as many of us suspected finally and it really begun with the Super League debacle. As HH mentions in his vlog, I think of all the chairmen of all the clubs involved, Levy was the one pinning the most hope on it floating as a means to address even present problems.

If it had gone ahead then Daniel would have been straight on the phone to his lenders, asking them to restructure the repayments.

As Jordan says, Levy is an accountant, but he is actually a really bad chairman of a football club, as the one League Cup and 15 managers in 22 years shows…

From last year’s accounts: ‘Premier League matchday and catering receipts were £81.9m (2019: £64.2m) with 14 of the 19 home matches played prior to the COVID-19 outbreak at the THS with fans’

Means we’re losing £5.85M per game at the new stadium, 26 games over the last 2 seasons = £152.1M

Rebate on the broadcast rights was 10.7% each, which I think is about £15M for Spurs.

4 canceled NFL games at the stadium (so far). Let’s say that’s another £2M per game for Spurs? ~£8M

£175M by my calculations?

Am I missing anything? A magical pre-season Asian tour? A bit of Nike gear from the store? An imaginary naming right deal falling through?

It would be great to know the breakdown of the 200m, though I’m sure it will be explained away as expected incoming from all events and conferencing incomes rather than actuals.
The original line spun was the team was always separate from the property and would not be impacted, which now has been proved a lie.

NB I did enjoy Simons reaction to how Danny Rose and Dele were treated.
