“I know there’d be a riot…” Says Ian Darke | The Very Latest Harry Kane Transfer Opinon From Around The Web

By Joe Fish -

Amid reports, Harry Kane is a transfer target for Serie A giants Juventus, ESPN FC’s Julien Laurens, Ian Darke, and Steve Nicol ponder the Tottenham star’s future in North London. Would a move to Italy be of interest to the England star, or should he be looking to Real Madrid?

Ten days ago, Matt Law of The Telegraph reported that our failure to win trophies has finally forced Harry Kane to considering leaving Tottenham.

Now, going out of the FA Cup and Champions League seems to have convinced Kane that Spurs are no closer to helping him fulfill his ambitions.

Hercules – an ITK on Spurs Community with a good track record – reckons Kane’s position has strengthened and that he is now “itching to leave”.

As well as exiting two cup competitions, another thing to happen in between the two reports was Daniel Levy’s meeting with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust, where he downplayed the chances of major squad investment to arrest our alarming slide, as Football London details.

That can’t have impressed Kane as it is understood by Hercules that the England skipper met Levy after that meeting to ask to be allowed to leave.

Hercules adds that he cannot see Levy agreeing to that, but we have all seen how little power the chairman truly has when a top player wants to go.

This could be Bale all over again, except we may never come back from it. And by ‘it’, I mean the pit that Levy’s leadership will leave us in post-Kane.

No reinvestment, no Champions League football, more players wanting out and picking up the pieces when things inevitably go sour with Jose.

This is what our future looks like, arguably with or without Kane but certainly without. So can you blame the striker for giving up?

With the Coronavirus outbreak threatening to end the Premier League season early, we could have seen the last of Kane in a Tottenham shirt.

Hercules also had some interesting insight on the future of Hugo Lloris…

Kane has been leaving every season since he first got a golden boot in the prem according to muppets like matt.. The mainstream media has been awful for time. Ever since sir alex was boycotting them for years I really noticed newspapers deteriorate in the late 90s or early 00s…… I’m with Gary Lineker, “throw enough darts”

And is the list of players we have allegedly scouted even true?Invariably the price for these “targets’ is always well above what Levy would consider spending.

My guess is it’s more the ENIC spin machine in action to give the impression to the suckers that something meaningful is happening on the transfer scene.
Sinking to new depths is an ENIC trait.

It’s only a question of time before Kane leaves Spurs and who could blame him. Levy’s comments at the THST meeting clearly spelt out that missing out on CL qualification will impact our spending in the transfer market. Levy came out with the fatuous remark that spending money on players did not guarantee success. Of course clubs make mistakes in the transfer market by overspending on the wrong players, but it is not just a question of spending huge sums of money, it is a question of having the right personnel overseeing their respective club’s recruitment policy and spending the available money wisely. We do not have that option, instead we have Levy playing at DoF. The list of players we have scouted over the years whom we could have bought at reasonable prices is too long to mention but suffice to say, the blame for our current demise can only be laid at the door of the charlatan Levy who incidentally, according to the respected journalist Tom Bower, does not even like football.

What’s the thought on hugo? Let me guess, Dan the man is gonna relabel him as an “attacker” thus filling the hole left by arguably the greatest striker on earth? Sorry but anyone defending that scum of a chairman is as much to blame. He only gets away with it because he’s allowed to. Everyone turn on them, get them out, get someone in who recognises there is a chance to do something good here but it’s going to need an outlay to start with
