“I hope he can give Spurs a title” Van Der Vaart Impressed With One Spurs Player And Predicts The North London Derby Result

By The Boy -

The still much loved former Spurs ace Rafael van der Vaart has high hopes for Tottenham under José Mourinho, after all the two know each other well after their time together at Real Madrid. The Dutchman believes that his gaffer will give his players protection – which may come as a slight surprise to Tanguy Ndombele, but hey ho.

One player that Rafa believes could be a game-changer for Tottenham is Gareth Bale. The 38-year-old told talkSPORT2 that Bale deserves a return to form and finish his time at Spurs with something tangible. I’m sure we all share the sentiment, but navigating the 31-year-old past injury and fatigue has proved no mean feat, thus far.

As for the North London Derby, it’s proving quite a task to find anyone who thinks that Arsenal will come out of it well. Rafa feels that with Bale, Son, and Harry Kane, Spurs could win 3-0. Arsenal are 6/5, Tottenham are 15/8.

Well under Poch we won 2-0 there in the cup, but nothing much in the league. I remember that we were often considered favourites but they always seemed to dig out at least a draw, if not a win.

This time, however, Jose’s the coach and he loves playing them. Chelsea dropped points, Everton are trailing Burnley…and it’s the NLD! The boys must be fired up and ready to pounce.

Our last 5 matches against the arse league and cup they have failed to win any…. I’m shocked we haven’t won there in so long..

Aye shame we couldn’t have had him earlier in his career and for longer.. Classy silky player, tiny but tough as nails with loads of flair. In a similar mold to Modric, weaker in areas but a better striker of the ball. Great player indeed.. We will do the Gooners I reckon. 2-0.

Love him, brilliant passionate player. Hopefully he’s right but the last time we won there in the league was in Redknapp’s time (was it 2010? Goals from Bale, vdV and Kaboul), so we shouldn’t underestimate them. 3-0 is a tad optimistic, they won’t want to get their pants pulled down by us of all teams.

Away win by a goal is my guess (and hope).
