“I Guess I Would Burn It” – Ajax Player Who Swapped Shirts With Lucas|video

By Joe Fish -

Ajax winger David Neres has admitted he wouldn’t know whether to burn or frame Lucas Moura’s shirt from their Champions League semi-final heartbreak at the hands of Tottenham…if he ever got his hands on it.

In a video interview with Desimpedidos, the Brazilian recalled how he did trade shirts with his compatriot after the first leg in London, but had no interest in repeating the gesture with the hero of Amsterdam a week later.

An English transcript of this video is below for those, like me, who can only distinguish the words Lucas Moura and the bleep that follows seconds later.

“I swapped with Lucas but I don’t want to talk about it haha…Ok I swapped shirts with Lucas Moura at the first match as we won and we were happy, but at the end of the second match, I didn’t even want to see his face. If I got his shirt I guess I would burn it… Alright, f**k it, I would frame it because he made history that day. He scored three goals and took us out of the final.”

Despite holding a sex party, seeing his parents, hugging his sister and cycling with a mate he is saying he is being harassed because of his actions. He is not being harassed, he’s being shamed for stupid behaviour. He really is the archetypal ‘thick’ footballer. Are footballers really so fragile that any form of criticism sets off the mental health alarm? Sometimes, whether you’re a role model or not, you have to act responsibly. Walker thinks he is exempt from this. Idiot.
