You had me at “no excuses”. This guy is an absolute monster and anyone still in doubt about that needs to watch this video repeatedly until the penny eventually drops.
Pierre talks like a winner, he’s clearly driven and wasn’t vaguely distracted by the Mickey Mouse scoreline. José Mourinho must be quietly delighted with his first Tottenham acquisition.
The club’s video wallah was looking forward to the player giving us a load of old big win toffee, and was hit with a very measured, mature response. This is not a typical Spurs signing, this is pretty flipping wonderful.
More, please.

Just what we needed. Strong character, team player, manager’s dream.
Like Freund was, Jose is the modern day George Graham.
Scandinavian players are always pretty committed to the cause and the collective effort. It’s part of the culture, in fact Eriksen was unusually meek and quiet as a character compared to the norm. I’m sure he was driven as a player but he was slightly unusual. PEH is more what you expect, more like Siggy, Neilsen, Leonhardsen, Taino etc. They’re good to have around the place without doubt, it’s sometimes their quality with many of them at the very top level that can be an obstacle.
A no nonsense player, let’s hope his attitude rubs off on some of the neer do wells. He’s not flash but he’s going to be a fan favourite.
Streams for the final anyone?
Proper leadership talk. That interview gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
he’s the real deal, matey
I love the way he says we and us, he’s one of us!
Speaks well does the lad.
Hojbjerg is a yiiiiid
