This video is worth watch. What see is the emergence of the top 15 highest goal scorers in English Premier League history, between the years 1992 and 2020. What’s notable is that Spurs have a number of players in the listing. Les Ferdinand, Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and of course, Harry Kane.
However, what is worth our consideration is to look at the other big names in the era of Harry Kane, and note how many of them have also won trophies, as they racked up their goal tallies?
It strikes me as being now inevitable that Kane will want to be remembered for more than merely being a prolific front man. How much time does Mourinho have to lick Spurs into shape, before Kane, now 27, weighs up his options. Surely it can’t be long.
What a way to run a football club !
Been saying it for a while now, Kane will have his eye on the door already. Short of Levy buying the players Kane and Jose deem capable of turning a 6th place spurs (40pts behind Liverpool), into real contenders for the PL (as a player of Kane talent should be aiming higher than the ropey) there is nothing Jose can do in time for Kane to win real trophy in his spurs career span. Even if he leaves now he will need time to settle.
It did not escape me that Bayens 4th against Chelsea powerfully headed in by Lwandowski came not from Aurier but a delicious chipped cross from their quality, yes quality full back!
Come to think of it add in Thiago, Boateng, Kingsly Coemen, Davies, Mueller, Gnabry etc when it’s fair to say we would justifiably be serious title contenders. If only. Dream on!
Got to love your sense of humour DD.
We could then make an audacious bid for Lewandowski!!
Lovely jubbly!
Hard to turn down when surely nobody would begrudge Kane leaving in search of trophies, would they??
or could be gone this transfer window if a club weighs in with an offer of £200m!
Presumably Kane’s final season ending on a high note of possibly winning a trophy?
HH your blogs are changing quicker than magicians tricks!!
