Romano claims ‘verbal agreement’ as another Spurs player is bound for Bavaria

By The Boy -

We’re in for a long day of twists and turns as usual with the Premier League facing the last knockings of another frankly action-packed summer transfer window.

As far as Tottenham Hotspur fans are concerned, this window has to be primarily concerned with moving players out, in order to then hopefully slot replacements into the squad in their stead. It’s actually not so much about money, as getting a bloated roster of players into shape, whilst observing the various protocols in place for home-grown talent and so forth.

Fabrizio Romano is surely the hardest working man covering all the comings and goings and has broken the news that Spurs are cautious, but that a verbal agreement has been reached for the transfer loan of Japhet Tanganga to Augsburg FC in Germany.

The medical is currently scheduled for today.

With Romano’s trademark ‘Here we go’ comes the update that this is a loan with an option to buy included in the documentation.

In truth, Tanganga is now 24 and must be wondering what happened to a bright and promising career. Things began promisingly enough, but appearances began to dry up and performances sometimes became tetchy affairs.

The 2018/19 season was the last meaningful run for the Tottenham Academy product who then once again reared his head making 11 league appearances in 2021/22.

A move to Bavaria would see Japhet a mere 60 milometers across Bavaria should he be interested in catching up with former Spur Harry Kane, and if they aren’t that friendly, they will still bump into each other twice a year in the Bundesliga anyway!
