Good news – In-form Tottenham man set for a new improved contract

By Bruce Grove -

The Daily Mail claims that Tottenham has turned their attention towards tying down the important members of their first team to new deals, and Son Heung-Min is one of them.

Spurs have had a fine transfer window as Daniel Levy managed to make some impressive signings despite the coronavirus pandemic affecting the club’s finances.

The likes of Matt Doherty and Gareth Bale were added to the team to hand Jose Mourinho one of the best squads in the Premier League this season.

Now that the transfer window has closed, the team has been in fine form and they need to find a way to keep their players happy and motivated.

The report claims that Son, who has been in blistering goal-scoring form this season, is one player that the club hopes to tie down to a new deal.

The South Korean currently earns £150,000-per-week and he is expected to get a sharp increase on that wage.

The club isn’t looking to make him happy just because of his fine form, but they also see him as a key part of their strategy to remain the most popular team in South Korea, given how popular the attacker is in his homeland.

With the team looking to be heading in the right direction, Spurs shouldn’t have problems convincing Son to sign an improved deal.

Son is at the top of his game and we’re very lucky to have him.

Good stuff. Securing a key asset… Contracts are often thrown out of the window though if Madrid or Barca suddenly come calling.
