Gareth Bale’s Dribbling Brilliance vs Saints | video

Pictures c/o Sky Sports

Gareth Bale made more of an effort last night, which understandably revealed him to be… well, I’m extremely hesitant to make judgement calls on ant Tottenham players unless they are playing big sides. Being a big dribbler against a side that is 14th is not exactly a record-breaking achievement, is it?

Bale needs to turn it on against City – THEN – we can all get excited. Or is that desperately unfair?

Gareth Bale will score more goals with only his left foot than Lamela, Moura and Bergwijn combined. Anytime …
As much as I have the most respect for Mourinho, he just takes matter too personal , and have the biggest ego and pride ever.
And his criticism of players in public .. really ..?

Bales still a top baller. Wages. Same as kane. Harvey white loved dead balling with him after training.

He was clearly not a Jose pick and not really suited to way that Jose wanted to set up the team so he was marginalised from the start. He’s not the Bale of old quite obviously, his electric pace has gone, but despite that he still retains flashes of ability and can influence a game like he did yesterday.
Despite his limited pitch time he is still our third highest scorer after Harry and Sonny and whilst Harry is out apart from Sonny who would you bet on to score from the rest of the squad? Without his intervention yesterday I suspect we would have got beat.
It will be interesting to see if the new interim coaching system can find a way to accommodate him over the last few weeks of the season.

Always said, I don’t care how much we pay him, or what a colossal waste of time the whole exercise was, if he can score the winner in a cup final then his legacy will be in tact. If he turns it on for the last 6 league games and helps get us top 4 as well, that would be a bonus.
