Tottenham transfer windows are invariably complicated affairs – even when silent – and this his summers’ transfer activity in North London looks like being even more convoluted than normal.
Le10Sport are running with an intriguing proposition which may confirm just how messy things could potentially get. The French outlet believe that a new front runner has emerged in respect of our Tanguy Ndombele problem.
The 23-year-old, has made 21 appearances at Spurs, but only 12 were from starting XI’s. The former Ligue3 runner-up has been subbed on 9 times and subbed off on 10 occasions, which is hardly a look consistent a Premier League club’s record signing.
Le10Sport are saying that Bayern Munich feel that their loan/purchase moves with James Rodriguez and then Philippe Coutinho have been successful and in the same process would potentially suit this summer, given the financial hammering all clubs have taken in the last few months.
Spurs understandably want the money they invested Tanguy back, given the time frame. This might be a useful way of pursuing that ambition…
All signs point to Ndombele heading for the exit despite what the club says. Even Sissoko had a more involved first season – though I definitely think there’s a player in Tanguy somewhere. I suspect he joined to work with Poch but instead found a broken man who was already half way out of the door, mentally. This put him in the dressing room of a now deflated, jaded squad in an unfamiliar country.
In comes Maureen who is known to be marmite and didn’t choose Ndombele, so it was a non-starter. The lad’s pre-existing fitness and attitude issues were just the cherry on top.
Barring a miracle turnaround I’d say we’re best off cutting our losses and moving on.
Probably, how else do fund you any transfers. There’ll be a big demand for players out of contract and they’ll be looking for big wages and signing on fees. Didn’t see Hojbjerg last night, is he injured or exiled?

I wonder if one of our names will be sacrificed in order to bring in a couple
Great deal for Bayern, note that they never actually signed those loan players. What do Spurs get out of it and who replaces Tanguy? No, Levy has too much credibility invested in Tanguy to let him leave and admit to another transfer fiasco on his watch. I’m still a believer in Tanguy, though if Mourinho has selected him as surplus then he probably won’t stay.

If genuine I would do it. You can’t have characters that show a lack of ‘character’ in training or on the pitch. Set a precedent, if you’re not committed you’re out. We can’t have any more Adebayor’s in the club.
They could do a large loan payment with a lower to buy payment a bit like lo celso deal
Problem is – there is no money coming in on loan deals – so we cant back fill one of our more talented midfielders.
