The Telegraph is exclusively reporting that PSG is looking to sign Tottenham star, Dele Alli.
Alli is the latest player to be affected by Jose Mourinho’s ruthlessness in picking players.
The Englishman was ineffective in Tottenham’s first game of the season against Everton and he was hauled off at half-time.
He was left at home as some of his teammates travelled for the Europa League game against Lokomotiv Plovdiv last Thursday.
He was dropped yet again today as Spurs beat Southampton 5-2, thanks to a Son Heung-Min masterclass.
The report claims that PSG, who have been long-term admirers, are looking to take advantage of his current situation to sign him and line him up with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Mourinho openly told Alli that he was a lazy trainer and that he needed to do better else he will waste his talents and regret it, in Tottenham’s All or Nothing Amazon docuseries.
It seems that the Englishman hasn’t listened to that advice. Spurs have now signed Gareth Bale and when the Real Madrid loanee becomes fit enough to play, it will mean even more competition for Alli.
The report adds that it is unclear if PSG will pay for an outright purchase or look for a loan-to-buy agreement.
Be fascinating if he can embrace such a big challenge. The United goal last season shows there’s still magic in dem boots when he’s able to turn it on.
Jose has proven this squad can easily function without him already so a change could be best for all parties. Still a massive disappointment he didn’t become ‘the next Gazza’ for us…or England.
I think you’re right, whether it’s those surrounding him or his off field distractions I don’t know. But he was warned and he’s failed to react.I think it was telling that when Jose first called him out as being lazy he thought it was a big joke. One thing is for sure Mourinho won’t suffer fools.
It could be that, maybe we have seen the best of him and he just can’t reach the level he was at a couple of seasons ago. He hasn’t handled the rise to stardom like others have for whatever reason, and the difference now is that he has a manager that will not tolerate anything less than total commitment, still a shock if he goes though.
Boy had the talent to be close to the next bale (ability and love from crowd) instead he will be remembered as what could of been
Sends a big message to all the slackers, one of the untouchables, one of the undroppables is not needed. I like Dele but you can’t live off promise forever. Going to PSG isn’t exactly slumming it though, good luck to him.
Bit by bit, window by window all the dross will be removed. I don’t care how nice they are or how hard they run if there is no end product or if they can’t stay fit for more than a fortnight it’s time to go.
Totally agree with Maureen here, you can not run a team on sentiment. Put up or shut up, no room for freeloaders in any walk of life.
He can’t argue he was warned on camera so if he isn’t putting the effort in …
