Video Evidence: Forget Gareth Bale – José Mourinho already has a Dribbling King on his books who’s keen to play – opinion

By The Boy -

Erik Lamela has been an ongoing source of division within the Tottenham fanbase for a very long time. We have no need to trawl through the last nine (count ’em 9) seasons, they are what they are, or what they have become. yet last night against Wycombe Wanderers Erik Lamela was a true bright spot.

One of the things about Lamela that has always appealed to me is his focus on attacking every time he has the ball! My money is on Erik being a bigger force than Gareth, this season…

Agree with all of that mate, and then he gets injured for weeks and months.

I feel that a fit Lamela would enhance Tottenham’s chances of success and that he’s good enough to have a major part to play in Tottenham’s first team selections. I don’t feel that about some other players. Lamela is a force ot be reckoned with on any team and he’s very experienced in the Premiership and in Europe. He inspires, sets an example and it must be a great having a player like that as a team mate. He has the right attitude and fighting spirit a top team needs. His work rate is both effective and balanced. He’s a team player.

I wait to be amazed at Lamela having a clear run to the end of the season but he just seems broken to me

Not for me. Lamela always does this – plays well, gets injured in the autumn, misses a month or two, plays again and seems eager and determined only to peter out eventually. He did play well yesterday but there have been too many false daws with him.

Well, let’s hope someone provides some entertainment cos we are going to be locked down for the foreseeable and unforeseeable futute….and it’ll be all our fault according to the government.
I see the self styled ‘protecters of free spech’ Talk Radio are editing out interviews that challenge the criminal actions of Johnson and his marionettes, after they were taken off social media for 24 hours a week or so ago. Obviously been brought into line. Welcome to North Korea.

Pamela is our modern day Ronnie Rosenthal. Head down and run tends to run out of pitch and pops up now and then with a glorious goal.

Baller….

Coco could be a great asset if he could stay fit and play multiple consecutive matches and find fitness and form… But he is the new sicknote so he never does.. The Argie Anderton.

They should not even be spoken about in the same sentence, such is the gulf in class.

Bale And Lamela are great dribblers… First prize for me goes to Tanguy though. His little dribble before his last goal. Right foot to left foot followed by a cruyff turn and then bang in the near post… Marvellous.

A lot more fluid individual performances last night. They need to put it together in the Premiership now more often, much more promising. Level of opposition taken into account of course.
