The past few days have seen discussions over Everton FC’s Richarlison possibly heading to north London to join Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs want to add more scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
However, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote in his column on Caught Offside that if Spurs does indeed pursue the Brazil international, it will be a pricey one.
“Richarlison is a player that the new agents have talked about with Tottenham, as with other clubs. However, the club wants €70-75m as an opening price tag; so far, it has not received offers at this level,” Romano wrote.
Furthermore, Romano preaches caution with the current rumors surrounding the 25-year-old in a possible move to Spurs but does emphasize that the interest from the north London club is accurate but will need to beat out the competition to sign him this summer.
“Tottenham are not the only club interested, but Spurs have a real interest in Richarlison,” Romano wrote. “I wouldn’t get carried away by some of the reports surrounding Richarlison and Spurs just yet, but the interest is there and it could be an excellent signing if they can see off competition for his signature.”
Richarlison finished the 2021-22 season on a strong note, scoring four goals in the final seven fixtures for The Toffees to help them avoid relegation and remain in the Premier League.
The Brazilian has two more years left on his deal and it could be time for Everton to cash in on Richarlison.

Seems we have moved on anyway
A good player, but not worth half that money. Levy will never sanction any more than 25m for him, and he’d be right. For a change.
