Fabio Paratici ‘could make a move’ for Juventus star – Italian club are willing to sell him

According to the latest reports in English media, Fabio Paratici is considering making a swoop for Juventus star Weston McKennie.

The Italian sporting director has raided the Italian league for host of signing for Spurs. He has already signed former Juventus misfits Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski, and Rodrigo Bentancur and is now linked with Weston McKennie.

According to JuventusNews24, Paratici is a big admirer of the American and ‘could make a move’ for him in January. He personally scouted him at Schalke before signing him for Juventus.

Spurs have been interested in him for quite some time. The speculation began in January and continued into the summer, with reports claiming Fabio Paratici was pushing for a move for the midfielder. It was claimed that a fee of around £34 million would have sufficed, but Juve kept their man after new signing Paul Pogba suffered a serious injury.

The report suggests that Juventus will be willing to sell the American only if there is an offer ‘considered worthy of opening a negotiation’. Therefore, a January move could be on the cards. It is not sure how much Juventus will be asking for the player but Spurs can be expected to pay for it. The prospect of playing under Antonio Conte should pique McKennie’s interest in a move to Spurs.

Weston McKennie was a standout for Juventus in their Serie A victory over Empoli at the Allianz Stadium on Friday. The 24-year-old American midfielder scored a crucial goal in the game continuing on his decent start to the season.

As Tottenham lurks in the background, the coming months will be crucial in determining the outcome of the 24-year-old midfielder’s future.
