Ex-Tottenham man tips trio to start against Chelsea

By Bruce Grove -

Former Tottenham number one, Paul Robinson has tipped Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero to start Tottenham’s match against Chelsea today.

The trio had missed Tottenham’s last two games following their involvement in the last international fixtures as they travelled to red-list countries.

They have been quarantining in Croatia to avoid doing that in the UK when they return.

The Standard claims that they returned to England on Saturday night and trained with the rest of the squad ahead of the match against the Blues today.

Spurs have conceded five goals in their last two competitive games and they will be keen to avoid a second straight Premier League loss in this match.

They will be without the services of Eric Dier, who is injured and Japhet Tanganga, who is suspended and Robinson believes Sanchez and Romero will start.

He also tips Harry Winks to drop out of the lineup for Lo Celso.

Asked if the trio will come into the starting XI by Football Insider, Robinson said: “The three of them come back in, 100%.

“Something needs to change because they cannot perform the way they did at the weekend.

“I think Romero will prove to be Spurs’ best signing of the summer so he will definitely come in. It’s been a problem area for some time.

“I expect him and Sanchez to start at the back together with Lo Celso coming in for Harry Winks.”

Someone should spin Winks around a 100 times before kick off so he passes forward when he thinks he’s passing sideways or backwards.
Or better still put him on the bench.

This is true but how many players in our midfield can pass the ball forwards who have 90 minutes in their legs? Bring back Sissoko all is forgiven…😂

Makes no difference who plays. One Club are the European Champions, the other are just excuse making Losers. It’s true so let’s face Facts.

Lo celso in for Harry Winks…bit like trading Tommy Cannon for Bobby Ball… if he starts guaranteed he’ll be off between 60-70 mins…. can we just concede a 2-0 defeat without playing? 🤔
