Everton Investigating Alleged Racist Abuse Of Son Heung-Min

By Joe Fish -

Everton have announced that they are investigating alleged racial abuse of Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min in yesterday’s 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

The South Korean forward was sent off for a tackle on Andre Gomes which caused the Portuguese midfielder to lose balance and suffer a fractured dislocation to his right ankle, according to BBC Sport.

BBC Sport adds that Gomes will undergo surgery on Monday.

Son was visibly distressed and had to be consoled by teammates and Spurs coaching staff before he was shown a red card by Martin Atkinson, although the referee had initially planned to brandish yellow.

It has now emerged that, during the hysteria surrounding Gomes’s injury, Son may have been racially abused by a member of the Everton crowd.

An Everton statement read: “Everton is investigating an alleged incident of racist behaviour by a supporter attending today’s fixture against Tottenham.

“Everton strongly condemns any form of racism. Any such behaviour has no place within our stadium, our club, our community or our game.”

Cenk Tosun equalised seven minutes into 12 of injury time to snatch Everton a late point after Dele Alli had given Spurs the lead.

Son faces a three-match suspension unless Spurs appeal the red card.

I really cant see anything else other than this is Poch trying to get himself sacked. Surely if the whole of the footballing world can see CE is offering nothing, then Poch can…so the only conclusion to draw is that is the game plan…to be crap. Its not like playing CE will change the future development of him, I personally would drop him and never have him return. His value in January is not going to get higher playing like he is, it would be better to at least appear to be a rift stifling him. If CE plays again, I can only draw the conclusion Poch will be gone before Christmas.

Is there any other EPL club or come to that any other CL club that brought in three new players in the summer who have hardly played as we move into November. Ndombele was apparently a Pooch pick and he has played sporadically. When he looks to be making a difference he is invariably hooked mid game or not selected the following game. Lo Celso and Sessignon might as well not be at the club. In view of that and in view of the much heralded NFL stadium opening and the beginning of a new dawn this again reflects yet another failed and unambitious transfer window. Fortress NFL as looked as impenetrable as a hookers knickers as a result. This is an ENIC manufactured cluster f**k in which Pooch took the wonga and now reaps what he has sown. There will come a point very soon I suspect when Levy and Lewis will start to get twitchy and pull the trigger on Pooch. Poch wants out but he also wants another fat wedge of dollar as compensation along with his sidekicks. The club has the smell of a rotting carcass wrapped up in a gold plated coffin.
