“Eventually, United” Poch’s Destination Predicted By Outspoken Former Player

By Joe Fish -

Danny Rose believes that his former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will end up at Manchester United somewhere down the line.

The Old Trafford club have widely been touted as Pochettino’s next destination, even while he was still in the dugout at Spurs, although the prospective takeover at Newcastle United has made Rose’s loan club the new favourites to tempt Poch back into work, according to Sky Sports.

However, speaking to The Lockdown Tactics podcast, hosted by Scotland internationals Kris Boyd and Robert Snodgrass, the outspoken Rose was confident that the Argentine will be courted by the biggest clubs in the world, and tipped him to “eventually” make those links to United a reality.

“Without a doubt. Without a doubt,” Rose replied when asked if Poch was destined for “a Real Madrid, Barcelona or Man City” level job, according to Football London. “[That intensity] they all got it from [Marcelo] Bielsa. I know Poch, he idolises Bielsa. They all got that work ethic from him.”

“Eventually United,” added Rose when pushed on where Poch might end up.

Pochettino and United do seem like a good fit apart from that slight caveat that he’s never won a trophy. But they had it so bad with Van Gaal and Mourinho that I don’t think a lack of pedigree will be held against him.
