European giants preparing to make space for major Tottenham target

By Bruce Grove -

L’Equipe via Sport Witness says that PSG is preparing to make an offer for Dele Alli now that they have made Mauricio Pochettino their new manager.

The Englishman has been out of the first-team picture at Tottenham for much of this season after he failed to impress Jose Mourinho.

The Special One has found a group of players that have been able to deliver for him and that has seen Alli play less often for his team.

PSG wanted to sign him in the summer, but Tottenham rejected their loan proposals.

With Pochettino now their latest manager, the French side is expected to return for the midfielder.

Before they can do that, though, they will have to clear out some of their current players to make space for him in the squad and within their budget.

The report says that the club tasked Leonardo with bringing in 60m euros in player revenues in the last transfer window, but he didn’t do that.

This month offers him the chance to bring in some money, and he is looking at the possibility of bringing in 40m euros from the sale of the likes of Leandro Paredes, Idrissa Gueye, Julian Draxler and Ander Herrera.

If they are able to move these players, they will return for Alli, claims the report.

While letting alli go out on loan might suit money wise and protect or enhance his value anyone coming in would need to be homegrown or classed as. We are overstocked to the limit with foreign players and under on homegrown.
