Emotional Lucas Moura consoled by José after Champions League loss [Photo]

By Ron Carne -

After the disappointment of their Champions League exit, it was all too much for Lucas Moura as he was consoled by Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.

Spurs suffered a 4-0 aggregate defeat to RB Leipzig in their round-of-16 tie, as they were unable to enjoy another memorable run in Europe after their trip to the final last year.

As seen in the video and images below, Moura was left devastated after the full-time whistle on Tuesday night, as he was seen slumped down and seemingly fighting back the tears.

Mourinho was on hand though to accompany the 27-year-old off the pitch, as they will need to regroup ahead of hosting Manchester United on Sunday evening.

Their Premier League encounter takes on more importance after defeat in midweek, and with injury troubles in attack, Moura will likely have a key role to play for Tottenham.

Sad to see after last year but that’s what enic can do to you. For me I prefer to remember that tanganga moment last night when he encouraged the leipzig player not to tackle tayto hands.
