Dutch giants join Barcelona in looking to raid Tottenham this summer

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham’s Ryan Sessegnon is of interest to Dutch giants, Ajax, as he continues to struggle for game time under Jose Mourinho.

The teenager only joined Spurs last summer from Fulham where he had played more than 100 competitive games.

However, he has struggled to break into the Tottenham first team and he continues to find it hard to convince Mourinho that he can be trusted to do a job consistently.

The Englishman will hope to get more playing time when next season comes around, however, he might have to leave Spurs to be able to achieve that and he won’t struggle to get a temporary home.

He has been linked with a move to Barcelona, who have been long-term admirers, and The Telegraph is reporting that the Catalans are being joined in the chase for his signature by Ajax.

The Dutchmen are famous for developing some of the world’s best young talent, but they have had to sell some of their key players in the last two summer transfer windows and they want to take Sessegnon on loan for next season.

Tottenham is hoping that he will finally kick on when next season comes around, but a temporary move away might be beneficial to both the player and the club.

He’ll get there. He’s young and very talented. Patience.

He must have something as so many clubs rumoured to want him
but he hasn’t settled well at Spurs.
