The 23-year-old’s form has dipped again after a bright start to life under Mourinho, and he reacted badly to being substituted in midweek.

But it is a bold call from Mourinho with both Harry Kane and Son Heung-min injured. Where are the goals going to come from?

Dele has an excellent record against Chelsea with six goals in eight games against them which adds to the surprise.

Japhet Tanganga is recalled at right wing-back, another different position for the 20-year-old, while Jan Vertonghen also returns to the defence.
