As things stand, there is no legal way of watching our home game v Newcastle later this month in the UK. Let @OliverDowden and @HuddlestonNigel know how much this means to match-going fans shut out of their grounds as a result of a pandemic. Time to be heard. RT #LetUsWatch

As this place warned you a week ago, there are going to be a good number of Tottenham matches that will not be broadcast live, 160 Premier League, and quite possibly some Europa Fixtures, too.
The Tottenham Hotspur Supporter’s Trust are urging supporters to contact their MPs in a bid to apply pressure on England’s football chiefs, but will this sort of petitioning achieve anything? It seems unlikely. The government will most likely suggest that fans focus their energies on getting the economy back on its feet, opposed to whining about TV schedules, after months of determined lockdown viewing.
The reality of the situation is that two outcomes are for certain. One is that against a backdrop of extensive redundancies sweeping the country, satellite subscriptions are likely to wane, and another is that the volume of fans willing to cheat the system and find more affordable alternatives to conventional broadcasts.
😆 No I’m guessing mate.
One can watch the majority of the games. With sky, BT, fox, espn and those arabic channels people will always stream… I think millions have done it for time. I pay BT sub but end up streaming loads of others. Have done for 16 years. Never a problem.
Strangely during recessions Sky subscriptions actually go up as people spend more time at home to save money and cut out trips to the pub, restaurants, days out etc.
Meanwhile Man City are going to hand out probably the biggest contract in world football while the lower Leagues in England are on the cliff edge.
Radio will come into its own.
If Levy was charging £10 for a meaningless pre-season friendly, how much do you think a PL match will cost.Levy will want his pound of flesh.Besides ST holders should get free access.
I don’t know why they don’t just do PPV for every game in these unprecedented times. Charge a few quid per match and I think all would benefit. I might even do it, instead of watching on dodgy streams, if it financially benefits THFC.
Is it just a coincidence that there is an advert on this page for a fully loaded Firestick with IPTV for all PL matches?
I wonder if this is what the founders of the EPL thought things would come to when they decided to kill the game for armchair supporters in 1992? Selling themselves out to the highest bidders to the exclusion of others so some can enjoy football matches from the comfort of their own homes. Leaving the rest of us to have to either illegally stream, download or go to a venue that is screening it. I don’t live in England so there is zero chance I’ll get to a game on a weekend even if I wanted to. Hopefully it will bite them in the harris big-time.
Oops, wrong place. I’ll try the one next door then.
The plan will be to use Man U’s ‘dark arts’ tactics and see how many penalties we can get from the ref or VAR. Too hard to try and stop conceding penalties, so lets get about winning more of them. More intelligent, less stupid is what it’s all about. Kane could break Clive Allen’s goal scoring record for a season.
surely this is the tv companies and EPL biting the hand that feeds them though, I have three go-to sites which provide on average an accumulative total of 50 links to spurs games, generally 10 without lag, in english, in full HD for every game.
Surely others are going to see how easy it is and not return to subscription model when “normal” returns
feel sorry for the older generation who just won’t be able to see the matches, without the tech know-how that is involved, as well as the fact that it is the same older generation who have been told to stay inside as they’re a risk group. shocking really.
By any means necessary I suppose. Joke ting though. 99 sovs? Don’t worry about the bag mate
