Conte reportedly has a list of demands for PSG, but a pundit tells the French giants to stay clear

By Eddie Razo -

The future of Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is beginning to get a little cloudy as more reports are coming out of France that the Italian tactician has already listed demands to take over Paris Saint-Germain.

According to RMC Sport, Conte wants total control of the transfer window for the French giants and wants them to appoint Gianluca Petrachi as their sporting director.

When it comes to the financial side, Conte, whose salary at Tottenham is estimated at €17-million, would like to see his emoluments double and therefore reach nearly €30-million per year.

These wages would make him one of the highest-paid coaches in the world, along with Atlético Madrid boss Diego Simeone. Conte is open to joining PSG because he no longer has the same vision as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Nonetheless, one French football pundit is calling for PSG to steer clear of Conte, questioning his motives for a possible arrival in Paris. During a segment on RMC Sport, Jérôme Rothen stated that Conte should stay where he’s at with Tottenham.

“Of course not; you don’t need a Conte at PSG. When you hear his demands, let him stay where he is. Above all, don’t come to a club like Paris Saint-Germain, which needs to restore its image and to rebuild a much healthier image,” Rothen said.

“You need passionate people. Passionate about football, I’m not saying that Conte isn’t, but he seems more passionate about his checkbook than about coaching Tottenham, Paris, or another team. That would already be problematic.”

Nobody wants the PSG job unless they can change things there. Also, why shouldn’t he ask to double his money when you look at what those mercenaries they sign are on? So he wants 30m, doesn’t Messi earn double that there?
