Conte and Fabio Paratici both ‘pushing to get deal done’ for world class player

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte and director of football Fabio Paratici are still interested in signing AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo this season, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

According to 90min, Roma manager Jose Mourinho is working hard to ‘block’ the Premier League club from signing Zaniolo, who scored the game-winning goal for the former Tottenham Hotspur manager’s side in the Europa Conference League final last season.

However, the report suggests that the Italian club is willing to let the 23-year-old leave this season if their valuation of around £42million is met.

O’Rourke believes that the Italian link between Zaniolo, Conte, and Paratici could play a significant role in whether the Roma player joins Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

He told GIVEMESPORT:

“Yeah, obviously [the Italian connection with Conte and Paratici] will play a big part in his decision.

“If he wants to move to Spurs there’s the whole Italian connection.

“Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte are both there, they’re both pushing to get this deal done as well.”

Despite the fact that the Italian has been plagued by serious injuries throughout his career, it appears that the attacking midfielder could be the ideal addition for Spurs this season if Paratici and Daniel Levy can work out a deal. Signing a player of his quality could end up being the difference maker between Spurs competing for silverware this season or not.

Dele to Besiktas, quickly followed by a move to a Middle Eastern club I have never heard of and then a trip across the Atlantic to Major League Soccer.

Bank balance enhancing but sad.

The same reason Levy hung onto him 2/3 years too long….they thought he was more than data.

He has to leave Everton because he a few appearances from them owing us a chunk of money. They’re cutting their losses…

😂 if ‘Lamps’ is such a great judge of a player why on earth did he sign him in the first place?

So far the “Italian connection” has yielded a grand total of one Italian player (was zero a few minutes ago), not including Goallini.

If I remember correctly, Alli had to have made twenty appearances for Everton before we received £10 million, and this could have risen to up to £40 million, dependent on his number of further appearances. If he goes to Besiktas, we will receive nothing. I think after we beat Real Madrid in the CL, he was valued at circa £80 million. Certainly an example of petulance coursing through his veins and always a victim. Hasta la vista Delli Alli, you won’t be back.

But do we get any money if he’s sold on so quick?

Check the small print.

Been watching the first half of Preston. Parrott is looking good, best player on the pitch by far. Needs to work on his finishing

Byers just got taken off before half time for Sheff. Wed, & if I do say so myself, showed the most amount of “petulance & victimhood” I’ve ever seen.
Everything came out the pram including the comfort blanket.
He really made a scene.
Suprised he didnt pull off his nappy
…….may have revealed too much.

A paltry 6 months and not good enough for Everton. What a waster. Surfing his last few waves into the sea of obscurity.

Yep, now Jose’s thrown his oar in, they won’t let him go for under the asking price. And there’s no way we’re paying 40 odd million for him (and nor should we).

Move along, nothing to see here.
