Turkish giants Galatasaray have sent a proposal to Tottenham for Davinson Sanchez.
That’s according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who claims a ‘verbal proposal’ worth €9m has been sent to the North London club for the defender who are ‘prepared to let him leave’ .
As per him, there are a couple of other clubs interested in him as well but the final decision remains with the Colombian.
He tweeted:
“Galatasaray have sent verbal proposal to Tottenham for Davinson Sánchez — confirmed.”
“Understand proposal is around €9m fee but Sánchez also has 2/3 more clubs now keen on signing him.”
Spurs are prepared to let him leave, up to the player.”
Sanchez signed for Tottenham in 2017 for a fee of €42m, making him one of the club’s most expensive signings ever. At the time, he was considered one of the most promising young defenders in Europe, with a bright future ahead of him.
However, things haven’t quite gone according to plan for the Colombian international, and he has failed to establish himself as a regular starter at Tottenham.
A move away from Tottenham could be the best decision for both parties.
The 27-year-old has shown glimpses of his potential at Tottenham, but has failed to deliver on a consistent basis.
A fresh start at a new club could be just what he needs to rediscover his form and confidence.
While Tottenham will hope to cash in on him this summer since his current contract with the club ends next year.
While he undoubtedly has the talent to succeed at the highest level, things just haven’t worked out for him at Spurs.
