Championship side preparing for life without Tottenham target

By Bruce Grove -

Swansea City is preparing for life without Joe Rodon as Tottenham closes in on the Welsh defender.

Spurs are looking to land Rodon before the domestic transfer window closes on Friday.

The Lilywhites aren’t the only team looking to sign the 22-year old who came through the ranks at the Welsh side.

West Ham and Leicester City have also been credited with an interest in him and they will be keen to get him before the window shuts.

Swansea knows that they might be in a position to have to sell him late in the transfer window and Mail Sport claims that they have turned their attention to a replacement.

The report claims that the Swans have made Manchester City’s Joel Latibeaudiere a target to replace him.

It claims that they are looking to beat Reading to the signing of the centre-back who won the Under-17 FIFA World Cup with England in 2017.

He is yet to make a senior start for the Manchester City team, but he spent some time out on loan at Dutch side, FC Twente last season and he made some senior appearances.

Spurs will hope to reach an agreement on Rodon soon enough after seeing their initial £7million turned down.

Bit of a punt for a C-ship player, lets hope it works out. We like dealing with the Swans don’t we?
