Bayern Munich reported to be keen on signing top Spurs man

By Bruce Grove -

Bayern Munich is reportedly looking to sign Tottenham forward, Son Heung-min, as he continues to play on without a new deal in London.

The South Korean has been in fine form for Spurs in this campaign as Jose Mourinho leads them to hopefully winning the Carabao Cup and returning to the top four.

The Lilywhites have struggled to be consistent and the last thing they would want is to lose one of their top stars in the summer.

Football Insider says the attacker was on the verge of signing a new contract at the club last season and had been offered a new deal worth over £200,000-a-week deal.

However, the talks have been put on hold as the club focuses on ensuring they can weather the current financial storm brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.

Bayern is looking to defend the Champions League and Bundesliga title they won last season and have made Son one of their targets.

The Germans are reportedly prepared to wait for him to finish next season when they could land him in a cut-price move.

His current deal expires in 2023 and if he doesn’t extend his current terms, then Spurs might lose him for a smaller transfer fee after next season.
