Ange Postecoglou has told Tottenham duo ‘they can find a new club’

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur’s restructuring continues, with the latest focus being on their defense.

The club has reportedly told Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez ‘to find new clubs’ , as they are considered surplus to requirements, according to the Evening Standard’s recent report.

In their efforts to bolster the squad, Tottenham have been actively pursuing new signings.

They have already secured Guglielmo Vicario as their new goalkeeper, replacing the veteran Hugo Lloris.

Additionally, the signing of James Maddison has been seen as a vital step to fill the void left by Christian Eriksen’s departure.

They have also completed the signing of Manor Solomon’s arrival on a free transfer and the permanent signings of Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski.

The focus has shifted towards the defense now with the latest reports suggesting that Tottenham are on the verge of completing a move for Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven.

Additionally, they are also set to pay the release clause to secure the services of Blackburn Rovers’ Ashley Phillips, with the deal expected to be finalised by the end of this week.

These potential additions signal the club’s determination to reinforce their defensive options.

While the focus is on new signings, Tottenham are also grappling with departures.

A number of players have been linked with a move away including Davinson Sanchez, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Rodon and Tanguy Ndombele.

The likes of Sanchez and Rodon have no future at the club and perhaps a move to a new club could help Kickstart their career.

Meanwhile Hojbjerg is linked with a move to Atlético Madrid who are keen on signing him.

The last month of the transfer window is expected to be a busy one with the majority focus being on outgoings but there could still be a couple of more incomings as well.
