“An addiction” “In his element” so many fans on YouTube agree in their post match reactions

By The Boy -

José Mourinho receiving respect and largely unadulterated praise online? Where is this magical place you speak of? It makes a refreshing change to see fan reaction that is free from nitpicking and emotional baggage from before he joined us – shoehorned in – to take the good out of things.

After five and half years of propaganda, telling us to enjoy the ride, finally we see supporters doing just that, without the need to be marshalled!

The impression I get is a man in focus and of commitment to the club, I have been continually impressed by Mourinho’s comments in interviews to such an extent, that I am now a believer.
It is early days with this new squad, but already there is the potential to achieve genuine success , that is winning a trophy, not reaching finals and semi finals, but actually winning something. I am convinced the players are becoming believers in this manager also, and I really don’t care which one it is, just as long as they do it.

We are well in the mix this season for top 4 and a shiny pot. With Jose and the squad he has at his disposal I will be disappointed without top 4 and a final. We have nothing to be scared of from any team now VVD is out. He is their Kane, a player that cannot be replaced. Dropping points from teams of Newcastle’s and West Ham’s calibre does need to stop. Come the end of the season those 4 points will be massive.

Fully agreed H. Mourinho has looked like a new man this season. There is no doubt that the appropriate level of backing from Levy has considerably influenced his mindset. Almost all of his transfer targets were attained and the resultant change in Jose’s demeanour, due to the talent level within the squad and his satisfaction with it, speaks volumes. Mourinho wants to win, that’s all and critically I think he fully believes that he can win something with this squad. Right now, in his interactions with the media, he is exuding confidence, classic Mourinho ebullience, at times bordering on a sort of controlled menace, like a Mafia don!

Even after the unprecedented defensive meltdown against West Ham, there was no comparable meltdown in the manager, an absence of his customary petulance. This told me that Jose was in a strong place mentally. Of course he was frustrated and angry, like we all were, but under the spotlight of the media he remained focused, logical and in control of his emotions. Those of us who witnessed his mental disintegration during the final throes at Chelsea and Man Utd will appreciate this is a considerable difference. In my observation, a swaggering, cocksure, Mourinho, precedes a successful Mourinho. Oh and by the way, the year ends in a one!

At some point this season I think we will establish ourselves as the best team in the league. How close we get to the title will be determined by how far we are behind the leaders at that time.

Jose’s a crocodile in this thing. Can stroll up to a pride of lions and take their kill.

He’s not afraid to win, not afraid to want to win, and not afraid of the pressure that comes with winning.

Our previous manager you could not say the same about for whatever reasons, primarily a lack of experience.

Jose is all in 😀
