Ambitious Germans want Tottenham midfielder on loan

By Bruce Grove -

Bild claims that Hertha Berlin is targeting a deadline day move for Tottenham midfielder, Moussa Sissoko.

The Frenchman is one of the most influential members of the current Tottenham team and started their 6-1 thrashing of Manchester United at Old Trafford.

However, the report claims that Jose Mourinho might move him on at least temporarily to balance the books after splashing the cash on several top players this summer.

Hertha Berlin has been looking to make some impressive signings in this transfer window and they are set to have a very busy deadline day with moves for the likes of Mario Gotze and Marco Grujic also on the cards.

The report claims that the Berlin side hopes to strike a deal that will see them sign Sissoko on loan from Spurs for the rest of the season.

Spurs have an abundance of midfielders at the moment after signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton.

They have also gotten to see Tanguy Ndombele return to form this season after struggling in the last campaign.

Mourinho will want to keep all his players at the moment as he looks to end the club’s wait for a trophy which has been going on for the past 12 years.

Think at least one of those three might have a surprising season and change your mind.

Just don’t make me choose which one(s)

The doc hinted he’s Ndombele’s big buddy/’older brother’ figure at the club.

For that alone, keep him for this season. He’s still a useful enough squaddie besides that.

No point risking the ‘feel good’ we’ve got getting rid of players ‘on board’ with Jose and beloved by the rest of the squad. At least not quite yet.

Committed players who are happy ‘squad options’ aren’t to be sniffed at. See also: Lamela.

He’s been playing pretty well, consistent.

Only carter Vicks and rose to go now then. Decent clear out really. Winks dier and Davies can go next season. Are they decent number twos? NO.

No. They can have him next season. We need everyone now. Was speaking with one of my links in there. Chris Powell has certainly made an impression. The young brothers in the camp love him already. Someone who looks like their dads who can relate to them. Big up c Powell. He was at the lamex a lot looking for youngster loans from us when he was manager of southend. Kool guy. Said to him once he can take Jenson🌚 anyway he knows the runnings. Top levy work.

Just checked, he’s just shy of 6 foot four, just the height to get on the end of some of those delicious crosses and corners from Reggie and Gareth.

Four Welsh caps might get a look at him next week marking Harry K. Manager speaks highly of him. He’s 22.

5Live Spurs looking at young Swansea City centre back Joe Rodin(sic), our new chief executive is ex Swansea City I believe, so might be something in this. Homegrown and U21 which helps.

Can’t see this happening as Mou regards Sissoko as an important squad member with a job to do against certain opponents.

No chance! He is an integral part of the squad and played well yesterday. More abject delusion from the media.

Grujic deal already off as Werder Bremen don’t have the money, so can’t see Sissoko going on loan if Levy didn’t take over £3 million loan fee for Dele.
