It seems Dele Alli Tottenham future has finally been decided

By Bruce Grove -

With the transfer window only a few hours away from closing, Sun Sport claims that Dele Alli is set to remain at Tottenham even if PSG makes another attempt to sign him.

The Englishman has struggled for much of this campaign after starting the season by being hauled off at half time in Tottenham’s 1-0 loss to Everton on matchday one.

The Englishman was then absent for Spurs next league games, he made a cameo appearance in the 6-1 win at Manchester United yesterday, but he has still not played a combined 90 minutes in the league this season.

PSG has been looking to take advantage of his current struggles with Jose Mourinho to sign him, but they have been unable to get Spurs to sanction a loan move for him.

They have made two attempts, the second of which will have seen Spurs earn £3.5million, but both attempts were turned down.

The French side is expected to return with a better offer today, but the report claims that Mourinho has decided to keep the attacker, so it will similarly not be successful.

Alli has been one of the most important players at Spurs for the past five years, but he has struggled recently.

However, being just 24, there is certainly a lot of time on his side for him to improve.

Goals and assists please from his position. Double figures a season he should be aiming for. No less

For Dele to break back into the squad he is going to have to up his energy levels and work-rate significantly. His nonchalant and languid style does not suit the high intensity press that is beginning to return thankfully. He has the talent just like Tanguy. He just needs to appreciate that in Jose’s team you cannot pretend to be a gangsta rapper boy because you will not get away with it. A return to the Deli we knew alongside Kane, Bale, Sonny, Tanguy and Lo Celso is a sumptuous prospect and we need that quality to rotate and compete in all the competitions.

I always believed the boy Dele would stay.

Jose’s squad building and a better coached Dele Should be a great squad asset.

So long as he plays well and assists etc I’m not sure his goal tally is key. When he’s on his game he’s almost impossible to pick up off the ball abd creates space for others. He’s gonna do some good stuff for us this season, I can feel it.

The pressure is off him and Kane a bit with Bale coming in and with Tanguy coming good, there might be some nice partnerships that could develop. Fighting for his place again could be the making of him…

Rose stays? Even if Spurs remains his parent club he’ll play out his final year of his contract with the Barcodes. He’s gone, apart from a bit of paperwork…

Dele needs to score at least 10 more this season. Will he get the games to do it in though. If he bags 15 more all is forgiven🌚. He shoulda trained as a striker from the off (goal hanging would suit him) Too busy wanting to be Gerrard though (not even close)

Aurier and Dele staying I’m pleased about because it strengthens the squad. Dele is good off the bench no doubt about that, better then starting.
