Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is reportedly weighing up his options ahead of the summer transfer window, following an eye-watering offer from a club in Saudi Arabia. According to yesterday’s report from The Times, the offer is set to triple the Frenchman’s £100,000-a-week wages.
It is further claimed that the 36-year-old has not yet made a decision on his future and is set to hold talks with club chairman Daniel Levy at the end of the season. However, the decision will also depend on who the next Spurs manager is.
The report from The Times also stated that while the offer from Saudi remains the most lucrative one, the goalkeeper also has other options on the table.
And as per the latest report, Hugo Lloris’ agent has confirmed that the player is exploring all possible options ahead of summer transfer window.
When asked about the rumours, the agent told Le Parisien: “He will study all the options available to him”. However, he did add that “there is nothing concrete yet”
Despite being a loyal servant to Tottenham over the years, Lloris’ recent performances have led to questions about his future at the club. He has made a number of mistakes this season that have directly led to goals, and his season was declared over after he picked up an injury during Tottenham’s 6-1 defeat to Newcastle.
In his absence, Fraser Forster has stepped up and proven to be a reliable backup goalkeeper for Spurs. Nevertheless, the decision on Lloris’ future will be significant for the club and its fans.
