BBC’s Garth Crooks has slammed Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris after he had a nightmare performance against Arsenal.
In his weekly BBC column, while selecting the team of the week, Crooks criticised the French keeper. Of course, no Spurs players were chosen this time, while Crooks chose a number of Arsenal stars.
And the pundit has now claimed that Hugo Lloris is starting to become ‘a liability’ for Spurs in big games. He wrote:
“Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris makes ordinary saves look unnecessarily spectacular and is a liability in the games that matter.
What was equally disturbing was Conte’s lack of ability to see that Emerson Royal was totally incapable of dealing with the threat of Gabriel Martinelli and his sending-off ultimately cost Spurs the match.”
The rumours linking Spurs to a long-term Hugo Lloris has already begun with the North London club being linked with the likes of Jan Oblak and Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the recent weeks as well as Leeds keeper Illan Meslier.
Been reading a fair bit of negative stuff re Romero over the past couple of days ..hopefully jet lag rather than World Cup protectionism..can’t have him turning into a melt.
Maddison under pressure ..just saying …free kicks ..really..
oblak should be gettable but the club is now the graveyard for ambition so we will likely end up with someone we have to google. Do one, Levy.
Of thise named above,I would suggest Meslier is the only one we could realistically get.The other two are the GK equivelent of Messi and Mbappe. No chance.
Dinners vs Puddings ..Too many puddings and your teeth fall out ..this is where we are at..
