“He never ever blames himself,” Some Spurs supporters have already had enough of Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has seen his Tottenham team continue to falter in the face of serious opposition after they were beaten 3-1 by Liverpool last night.

That was the second consecutive time that they have been beaten by the Reds this season, and this Liverpool team is on a bad run of form.

The loss to Liverpool yesterday came with a hammer blow after they also lost Harry Kane to an ankle injury.

The Englishman is expected to be out for a while, and he has been a key man for this team.

As has been the tradition, Mourinho once again blamed his team’s poor performance on the players. This has worked for him a long time, but some Tottenham fans are now tired of him putting the blame on others.

A few of their fans phoned into Talksports radio after the defeat and say that they want the Portuguese boss gone.

One supporter named Trev says the manager never takes the blame, instead, his places it at everyone else’s feet.

“I heard Mourinho’s post-match interview just now, he never ever blames himself,” ranted Trev, when he phoned in.

“The set-up was wrong, the substitutes were wrong, the geezer is a dinosaur!

“He sat back against a Liverpool team that was devoid of confidence because they haven’t even won this year, and he sets up in another defensive formation.

“I don’t know what Mourinho’s on to be honest with you.”

Another supposed Tottenham fan named Michael agreed: “I want Mourinho out of the club at the end of the season,” he said.

“Get him out! The football is poor!

“We’ve gone from a manager who changed the club and moved us forward, OK we didn’t win anything under Pochettino but we were progressing.

“We brought in Mourinho who might win a trophy, whatever, but he did that at Man United and they got rid of him for the same reason, he was not playing the United way.

“Ultimately, let him play the EFL Cup final and if he wins that, great, say thank you for the trophy and then boot him out the door!”

There is always kneejerk reactions from some fans when their team loses and Spurs supporters are no different. A couple of irate callers to Talksport hardly constitutes a majority and it is not as if Mourinho was universally welcomed anyway.

However, final of the Carabao Cup, the fifth round of the FA Cup, last 32 of the Europa League and live contenders for a top-four spot is not a bad return overall, especially for a club without a trophy in over a decade.

After 2 windows without a signing, nearly 2 seasons at Wembley, poch deserves more credit and respect from you. We were mostly a mid table team before pochettino
The only reason it started to go wrong was because the players were knackered because of lack of signings, but jose was backed immediately, poch sacked Tuesday evening, Boringho hired by the morning, disgusting

Jose ain’t shoring nothing up with that back 5 , not a chance they aren’t good enough. So is Daniel going to buy a whole new back line ? We know the answer to that . As a fan I’m all for getting the defence sorted , but the way we sit back makes it nigh on impossible to break out. Look at how hard HK has to work just to get the ball under control on our counter attacks, he has looked like an injury waiting to happen. Our midfield is woeful and lightweight. We are overrun in that department every match. The players seem to far apart to close down. The opposition hunt in packs with bags of energy. I am waiting for Jose to show us these special tactics.

I agree at times it is like watching a chess match brilliant, but for Jose to expect Doherty to do anything on his wrong foot in a counter attack move was never going to happen you could see that from minute one, he was so uncomfortable and hesitant. It was made for Bale to start .

So. Big personalities clash. José Inna this for a long time and has worked with many many players. Expect him not to clash with any of them? Maybe some of these players thought they were bigger (more important than the manager) and José just keeping them in line. Players get vex when they’re not playing also. The Manchester board are idiots plus he hated it up there. Won them cups though. So what if he fell out with staff at work. It happens. Never heard many people say bad things about him. You’ve just painted a picture of him from rubbish you read in the media. Stop going on like you know how José is. The man deserves a chance.

Are you dumb? Listen under poch the team were rubbish at soaking up pressure and defending property. José has come to put that right. (It’s the corner stone of all good teams) once the backs locked off then and only then will you see us play. Do you think José ain’t thinking ahead to next season? His team’s have to know how to soak it up against top top teams in the big European games and counter clinically. That on top of a high press. Why can’t you just be patient. José Inna dis ting fi a long time. He knows what he’s doing. Training our attackers. José doesn’t even bother with that too too much. Top top players know what to do naturally (Kane) defence and transition is a José ting. You can’t go into Europe and expect to attack all the time.

Real Madrid he left because the dressing turned against him, falling out with Ramos, Casillas, Ronaldo plus others. The players felt Mourinho didn’t give certain players the respect and didn’t like the way he treated them.

Man u sacked him through negative football and lack of progress.

Chelsea second spell, fell out with staff, huge internal problems. This was a Chelsea legend and they couldn’t wait to get rid of him.

This is Mourinho, it is who he is.

The guy has a massive ego and he always blames others for his inadequacy. If you like his negative style of football then you are welcome to it. I would rather see fast flowing attacking football rather than the dross negative stuff we now play. I get bored and frustrated watching the ball passed sideways, backwards with no real penetration. By the time we eventually pass the ball forward, the opposing team is able to organise its defence and thwart our few attacks. But if you like that rubbish good on you but I would rather watch pain dry.

So what about his past when he was younger? We won’t be playing this counterattacking style all the time. Struth. Do you think José wants to be known for this type of football? Josés looking forward to sticking it up ya next season. With the right players he’ll respect our traditions and we’ll play more while defending solidly. Why don’t you like him? Coz of what you see on TV? “His style of football? As in solid in defence then attacking hard? Which style? His Chelsea style? His Porto style? Madrid? Inter? Cha. Give the man a chance. It’s his first full season and he’s doing well. “Hype? What hype? The man wins stuff. He’s never not done so

It was way more simple than than. Play Toby along side Dier and put Ben Davies at left back. It could not be any plainer. Winks has allow Tanguy and wrecking crew PEH to player up higher, not sure why he did not start Winks. And why not Vinicus for Kane, straight swap, we were down only one. Each time in the firsf half am looking for Tanguy he is standing Lloris toes. Why not let him lose on the make shift defense. I just did not get it. I will support any manager we have, but as a former player and coach, we and us are always the optional words.

When is the FA going to sanction Klopp for his touch line behavior and abuse of the officials?

Track record, a couple of years each time at top top clubs, wins things and then gets sacked. Why sack a successful winning manager?

They are the top clubs in each league.

We ain’t.

So seriously how long will Spurs give him with his style of football?

Spurs fans are the most fickle around, as you can see on here, so patience runs out quickly.

I want Spurs to win, i want Jose to be a success, do i like him no, do i like his style of football no, do i believe in all the hype no. But if he turns us into champions then awesome, i just don’t see it happening.

He ain’t singled out Dele. He just told him how it is. Just like serge. You think José like the fact that Dele ain’t giving him what he wants? On a personal level there is no problems between the two (trust me I know) Dele knows what he’s gotta do but he obviously ain’t doing it. The José show? Oh please! José doesn’t trust these players (especially defensively) and you should know that José takes that side of the game very seriously. “Devides the team? Says who? When José gets the players he trusts and the team gets their nuts round the lock off ting that’s when you’ll see the team start to play. So wait let’s say we beat Liverpool (negatively) we’re up to third and in all cups do you think our fans would moan? Cha. Next season you’ll see a different style tottenham (solid at the back and attacking hard. You’ll see. Cha

Really? He has clearly singled Dele out.

When given a chance he hasnt done much wrong. Considering Doherty has been abysmal in every game he has played he still gives him another chance out of position. And he is still crap.

Dele has not been the only poor player, with a team desperate for a little creativity and with a point to prove why not give him a go.

Why, because Mourinho is singling him out. Everyone can see it.

Power trip? Of course, his ego, it’s the Mourinho show, point fingers, blame everyone else, from players, to var, to opposition managers, always excuses.

Whether he had inherited a poor team or not, we should not be being dominated by Fulham, rolling over against Liverpool, continually throwing points away against poor opposition. Totally destroyed at home by Leicester.

It’s negative, negative, negative, that is Mourinho, he divides the team, the media and the fans.

Do you think with fans in the stadium they would be behind his style of football? Maybe you will be cheering, but 60,000 other fans won’t be

He singles people out, it’s his power trip, the treatment of Dele is embarrassing and appalling.

That’s Mourinho though, her
will never ever change. He is poison.

He was once a great manager, that was a long time ago. Even then i didn’t enjoy watching his football, now it’s at our club it’s even worse.

Under Poch that was a building job and under the constraints he did a phenomenal job. I would rather have Poch, sure, he didn’t win anything, but for much of his spell we were fantastic to watch. People seem to have short memories on Poch.

Ultimately we will win a cup at some point, great. It’s gutting to see my kids wanna watch Man City and Liverpool as they are exciting. We used to be as well

Totally agree with your sentiments. When Pochettino was sacked I just prayed they didn’t appoint Mourinho, alas that’s who came through the door. It’s all about himself and I just wish he would depart. I have been a Spurs supporter for many many years and last night was the very first time I didn’t watch the match until the end. His style of management is awful and the football he plays is garbage. Players go out on the pitch tense and frightened to make a mistake. He was correct to initially drop Deli but his treatment of him of late has been atrocious. He does it to a high profile player at each club he has managed. Our club has gone seriously backwards under his management. Please get rid of this awful guy.

It was a hugely diversive appointment, that’s Mourinho all over. You love him and buy into his ego and the special one mantra. Or B, you look and say boring negative football, blames everyone but himself, creates ill feeling all around. He will win a Micky Mouse Cup, then we will have to totally rebuild in 18 months time when the fans get totally fed up of the excuses and the rubbish football and he gets kicked out.

Hard to disagree with those comments on the talk show. To play Doherty out of position on his weak foot, left wing back when we have Bale left footed winger is crazy and negative. To sit back and allow pool the freedom of WHL was stomach churning, no wonder they looked confident on the ball. Okay Kane got injured bring on a replacement striker not Llamela ( who ran around a bit). Negative mindset again stems from Mourinho who doesn’t trust any players apart from Lloris Son Kane and Hoijberg. He has sapped their confidence afraid. The players were very poor time and time again giving away possession in panic mode. Mourinho was very culpable last night same as the negative set up against Fulham. Jose needs to show the players the “Special one “ tactics fast . 👎🏻
