100% Duels Won, 94% Pass Accuracy & 67% Long Pass Accuracy: Joe Rodon’s 22 Mins For Wales

By The Boy -

Wales played the United States of America in an international friendly this week – a game that by reports was less than a collectors’ edition. Nevertheless, one of our new boys got some playing time, coming on for the injured James Alexander Lawrence in the 69th minute.

Joe Rodon has to date played just 2 minutes for Tottenham, but don’t let that concern you, the boy is a quality Left Centre Back and in due course, I’m confident that he’ll be up to the task ahead of him.

Total successful actions are a good overarching indicator of any performance and 84% for a defender is respectable territory.

Passing accuracy is my pet peeve – if a player can’t tell the difference between your players and the other lot, then you’ve got problems. Just one pass that didn’t pan out – that’s decent!

4 Duels won may not seem like much to crow about, but in a 22-minute appearance, that’s a hectic cameo.

Toby Alderweireld watch out.

Yep. And my beloved SuperJan has left because the likes of Japh and Dier were preferred, demoting him down that pecking order.

It was against the yanks, who wouldn’t have scored even if Wales went off the pitch.

Since Regulon and Doherty have come in I can’t see Japhet getting many chances at full back under Jose. With Rodon coming in too, who’s not getting in himself will Tanganga get chances in the middle either. Reckon he’s out on loan in January, shame.

Bloody good defender. He don’t need a lot. The prem won’t be a problem for him. He knows he’s good. Top top top defender he’ll be in about 3 years. Natural

A good young defender by the looks of it, will he get his chances under a manager that generally favours experience over youth? We’ll have to wait and see…

I think that can be readjusted in January if I’m not mistaken. Teams have until February 3 to register up to 3 new players for EL and for CL.

I have a good feeling Joe could be a great player for us. I think he will thrive under Mourinho. Shame he can’t play in the Europa.
