10 O’Clocker: Mourinho said to have laughed uncontrollably at the thought of ever playing this loanee ever again

By The Boy -

Danny Rose might remain a fan favourite with some fans, but amongst people who “do” Premier League football for a living, the boy is regarded somewhere between a proven liability and a laughingstock. According to a source close to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, José Mourinho certainly found the idea of Rose returning to Tottenham amusing. I am told he laughed heartily at the idea.

The Spurs’ football squad, under the wise stewardship of Mourinho and Levy are straightforwardly looking to not just survive these, the most troubling of times, but to seek out advantages. Danny ‘hang on a moment, I have The Sun on the other line’ Rose is not vaguely part of those plans.

My understanding is that should Rose end up at Tottenham to see his final season, then the now 30-year-old will find himself battling alongside U23s to get a kickabout. Daniel Levy extended a genuine hand of friendship to Rose after the first interview. Since then, the goodwill cupboard has been left bare.

😆 technique is all there until he actually strikes the thing .. He never scores and crossing and passing is sub par… Hell of a shot the other week though cracking the bar… Alot of wingers and full backs are rapid now too hes a bit slow like you say…. I would keep him for now but another left back has to come in if Rose is going.

He’s not too bad defensively you’re right. He does lack pace though and struggles when he’s up against any speed demon. The problem with davies is with the ball and going forward. He doesnt have much when you compare with greats like robertson or jordi alba etc

He strikes a ball very very well. Look at his body shape. Everything straight. Very good. That’s always been his best trait.

A great striker of the ball? Are you basing this on that one shot towards the end of the season?

Davies. Great striker of the ball but no where near good enough to be a Tottenham player. Tooooo slow for this league.

Problem is Managers’s don’t want players with issues creating a bad environment, Rose will do that and rightly Jose won’t put up with it. I think some of that played a part in Poch’s decline.

Agree we need good player bought in for those positions. Granted Davies is not a top LB, but does a decent job. I can’t think of games where he’s directly cost us goals, Rose on the other hand has.

I won’t be laughing if Davies is our one and only choice when the season starts.. Again we will be targeted down both flanks if noone comes in.. Weak links, left and right..

Danny’s more than earned his corn at Tottenham. Its a shame it ended up this way. We only paid a mil for him and only half his worth in wages. Leeds should come to his rescue, he’s still got some left in him. Danny’s stubborn and bitter. If no one matches his wages he’ll stay.

Rose has been a liability for a while, bar one good season just before walker was sold, he was very poor. Good riddance.
