Yes-Man Poch: Jürgen Klopp vetoed idea of Amazon making a Liverpool documentary

By The Boy -

The Amazon Prime documentary team began filming for the first time in a Tottenham dressing room during our away game at Anfield on Sunday, according to The Sun.

Mauricio Pochettino’s comments about the project have been genial enough so far, and in his recent presser, the Argentine acknowledged that this was the club’s decision.

Quite what effect the patently intrusive nature of a film crew might have upon a football club is one thing, but what may not be so widely known, is that it was Jürgen Klopp who had the final say on Liverpool getting involved in a similar project.

Nein danke

Liverpool Football Club were apparently offered an ‘All Or Nothing’ deal before Spurs were, and the German boss was quoted by The Times as saying he’s sooner quit than allow cameras in.

The wisdom of the £10million digital TV deal at Tottenham remains to be seen. Perhaps the added frisson of the lights, cameras and boom mikes about the place will energize what is clearly a stale group of players.

What is for certain, is that what cannot speak – cannot lie, and Pochettino’s results will have the last word on this and all other matters arising.
