Wout Weghorst To Spurs Branded A ‘Dream transfer’ [video]

By The Boy -

Voetbal Primeur have hailed the latest Spurs striker target’s move to London as a ‘droomtransfer’! The Bundesliga ace certainly looks the part, when it comes to some deft goalscoring. Additionally, he appears to be precisely the type of front-man that José Mourinho would be looking for, big, athletic, and technically strong.

The Dutchman might prove to be a good fit for Spurs, although Transfermarkt do currently the value the 28-year-old at some £27million.

And Bundesliga to boot. Definitely up to Premier league requirements and I don’t think he’d be another Janssen.

TBF Inngs can do that to a lot of defenders. Hopefully Dier will bed into the position given time, and Mou seems to see him in that position so I guess we have to trust his judgement for now?
With the front 3 and wing backs we’re about to have, we should be able to outscore most teams anyway. The Leeds games should be a spectacle!

It’s incredible that Levy appears to be following his managers wishes for once. Usually they ask for champagne and get punch. This seems to indicate that Mou is a very persuasive fella, perhaps he’s done a “how to deal with arrogant little men” course.
But I don’t expect this one to be a goer, but would be happy if it was. I’m terrified now that Levy will wake up one morning screaming “what have I done, we’re going to do a Leeds now”, before getting Deeney on deadline day.

Just watched the game on Spurs TV. Some of our defending was comedy gold. If the Chuckle Brothers are our CB pairing we can expect more classic moments from them. Swap Che Adams for Shane Long and we would have been 3 goals down before our first goal. Our clearance work is absolutely awful; more often than not the ball is not cleared properly (too weak or muffed under pressure) or into the central corridor where it gets recycled by the opposition. We are not decisive enough.

Two centre backs close to Ings, Diers first mistake losing track of the ball and then makes it worse by letting that ball bounce then lets Ings get goal side of him and a powder puff block by Sanchez.

Dier let Pogba get inside him as well, can’t learn from his mistakes but unlike Dele Dier is the teachers pet and can do no wrong.

We als need another CB. Is Toby injured? This love in with Dier has to end. He will cost us matches. He was left for dead by Ings for their first goal and he is just not up to the standard we need. Sanchez looks like a nervous wreck next to him. Toby has lost some pace but he has the experience to make up for that with his positional sense and can manage Sanchez. Dier is like a Sunday league pub player. When he try’s the long balls thatToby can ping all over the place with accuracy it is embarrassing. Dier and Davies are both sub standard to where this club needs to be. They may both train well but that does not make them good enough. Jose needs to sort out the CB situation in this transfer window.
