“Wouldn’t even get on the bench” some Spurs fans react to Wilshere comments

By Bruce Grove -

Jack Wilshere was once touted as a decent midfielder, but injuries and mediocrity limited how far he could go in his career and he is now without a team.

After spending two seasons at West Ham, he was released recently and is now scampering around to find a team foolish enough to give him a second chance at being a top level footballer.

No Premier League team has shown interest in signing him and he was asked recently if he would consider joining Tottenham.

Spurs are flying in all competitions at the moment and several of their players, like Dele Alli, are struggling to play for the club.

Yet when Wilshere was asked if he would join Spurs, he said he wouldn’t because of his affiliation to Arsenal.

Well, some Spurs fans weren’t expecting to see their team sign a player that has been dogged by injuries who is not good enough and they took to the Twitter post by Goal to let him know what they think of his comments.

Playing in the USA for Beckhams latest venture would be a good level for his abilities.

Jack ‘Wheelchair’ was paid 10 million quid by West Ham, over two seasons, for a handful of mediocre performances. Anyone, evidently apart from the Dildo Bros, given his track record, could have predicted the outcome of signing Wilshere to any contract other than ‘pay as you play’. A complete and utter waste of money. The idea that Spurs would even consider signing him is absurd. He wouldn’t even make our bench. I read he is now kicking a ball down the local park with his mates to keep fit, so he’s obviously found his level then!

He wasn’t even good enough for Wet Spam for the brief time he was fit!
ONLY reason he’d ever be asked to join THFC is to be an ‘old fashioned apprentice’ & clean the squads boots!

Really no need to be hateful: the poor guy had his whole career post 20 bedevilled by injuries. You go look at how he played against Barcelona in 2011 aged 19 and just feel sorry for the guy that he couldn’t fulfil his talent. He and Fabregas gave Xavi and Iniesta at the peak of their powers a contest they won’t forget in a long time…

If Daniel Levy were to offer him a contract, I’m sure it would be ‘Pay if you Play’, with regular break clauses on both sides. So it wouldn’t be a mega-wages contract, simply because the risks of him being unfit would be too high.

But quite frankly, Wilshere would be better suited playing in a different league, where the intensity is less, his skills can be showcased but his body will not break down so readily.

Who remembers when gooners were cocky? Bumped into a excocky one earlier that I ain’t seen for a while. From the moment he caught eyes on me he knew he was gonna “get it😂 expected it even😂 weak weak weak defense, not even “wot ave u won though” these are great times that are gonna get even greater. Don’t hold back on them
