“Will be sold this summer” – Club expert claims Tottenham will sell 26-year-old this summer

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham loanee Joe Rodon appears poised for a permanent move this season to Championship side Leeds United.

Recent reports indicate Rodon’s interest in departing Spurs for a permanent transfer to Leeds, contingent upon the Whites’ promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds currently hold the 2nd place spot in the Championship, maintaining a 2-point lead over 3rd-placed Southampton, heightening their promotion aspirations.

Rodon’s integral role for Leeds this season has increased the likelihood of his long-term stay with the club, especially considering their promotion pursuit.

In an interview with Tottenham News, club expert John Wenham predicts Rodon’s departure from Spurs, expecting a permanent move to Leeds. Wenham stated:

“I think Rodon will be sold this summer.

“Five different managers at Tottenham have had a look at Rodon and haven’t fancied him.

“It would be a move that makes sense for all parties involved, and I believe he could fetch a fee of around £15million, which would be good business because his value was at an all-time low in the summer.

“This loan has really helped him demonstrate his quality and he has been a top addition for Leeds, so I expect that deal will be made permanent.”

Wenham suggests a potential transfer fee of around £15 million, highlighting Rodon’s increased value following a successful loan spell.

That is good money and Levy will be happy to cash in on him given that it is unlikely that he has any place in Ange’s team.

Spurs already have the likes of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Radu Dragusin, and they are hoping to sign another centre-back in the summer.

The 26-year-old has been a consistent presence in Leeds’ lineup this season, featuring in 29 out of 30 Championship matches as a crucial defensive asset.

While Leeds may aim to retain the Wales international, a permanent move is more likely if Leeds secure promotion to the Premier League.
