“will be looked at” – Reliable journalist drops exciting claim about Spurs’ January transfer plans

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to strengthen its squad in the current transfer window.

According to journalist Alasdair Gold, the club is planning to sign an attacker and a right wing-back as the top priority.

Spurs’ top right wing-back target is Pedro Porro, with the North London club in talks with Sporting Lisbon for the Spaniard.

Meanwhile, Nicolo Zaniolo of Roma has emerged as Tottenham’s top attacking target in recent days, with the Giallorossi reportedly ready to sell the 23-year-old.

Gold also mentioned that the club is planning to sign upgrades in central defense and midfield next summer, along with a successor to Hugo Lloris.

However, if any late opportunities arise over the next two weeks, the club is open to considering moving those plans forward.

In his latest column for Football London, Gold wrote:

“Upgrades in the center of defense and midfield, as well as a long-term successor to Lloris, are all planned for the summer with better options available then, but late opportunities that arise will be looked at in case any of those plans can be moved forward.”

Tottenham are currently focusing on the Porro and Zaniolo deals during the current window, but they could also wait until the summer to secure better options in the market.

The club may have a better idea of their financial situation in the summer and a clearer picture of which players are available on the market at that time.

They may also have a better idea of their needs by the summer, which could lead to more targeted and effective acquisitions.

The club is keeping all options open and is willing to adapt their plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcome for the team.
