There’s little doubt that both Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez helped to obscure the Italian’s view, but ought Gollini have done better? I take a view after watching all of his performances for Spurs so far is that the 26-year-old has one major obstacle to conquer. His apparent allergy to clean sheets. Perhaps on this occasion, one could argue that the odds were stacked unfavourably against him – but the truth is – the numbers prove that Spurs always concede when Gollini’s on the park. Until Pierluigi can curb that stat, sympathy will be in very short supply.

On transfermarkt Gollini (26) is valued at 13.5 million… Gazzanigga (29) is 2.7 million.. Gazza left on a free to fulham when his contract expired so his choice I presume.
I think Gollini is 2 or 3 years younger. Last season he was Atlantas goalie helping them through their group stages in the Champions league. He played well.. Also in our penalty shootout the other week.. Gazza has played well for us in the prem… Not much between them really, both having one international sub appearances each.. Perhaps Gazza wanted out, at 29 maybe he just wanted to play regularly.. Glad Joe Harts gone. Really couldn’t trust that one.
Agreed, those were the only 3 players that I would taken from that reserve XI. Bergy was coming back from injury, so has some excuse, but the rest are expendable (including Lo Celso).
Agreed H. Frankly Gazza was better than this boy and wouldn’t have cost us any additional funds as we already had him on our books. Golliwop is certainly not worth 15 million! So expect another return to sender from the Levy cheap loans department!
Like most of our B team, no he’s not. Might of well have kept Gazza. Not many worth taking from that 11 tbh, Tanganga, Rodon and Gil probably, the rest forgettable.
