South Korea defeated Portugal 2-1 in their crucial Group Stage match, and it took a 91st-minute winner from a stunning Son assist to send the Asian side through.
The game was 1-1 for most of the game with South Korea desperate to find a winner and it came in stoppage time with a devastating counter from the Koreans. Son ran almost half of the pitch’s length before providing the perfect assist for Wolves star Hwang Hee-Chan despite being surrounded by four Portugal players and the striker finished it expertly.
South Korea defeated Portugal 2-1, and Uruguay beat Ghana 2-0 as well but because they scored more goals than the South Americans, they advanced to the round of 16s ahead of them.
