After generating a foul inside the penalty box, Alli would also step up to take the scoring chance. The midfielder would convert a penalty kick opportunity, and the London-based club would protect that lead for the remainder of the fixture.
Following the conclusion of the match, Alli spoke to Sky Sports, where he provided his insight into the victory over Wolves.
“We had to fight and earn the three points,” Alli said. “We have to put in a solid performance away from home and hit them on the counter. We knew they’d have chances, it’s how you deal with that.”
