Video – Tottenham officially announce Bale is Back

By Bruce Grove -

It is now official, Gareth Bale is back at Tottenham.

The news we have all been desperate to hear, ever since it became likely that the prodigal son would return home, has finally been announced, Gareth Bale is back.

The 31-year-old is unlikely to feature for the next few weeks due to injury but that is just fine, all that matters right now is that he is a Spurs player once again.

It is now just a matter of time before we see Bale link up with Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min in what has to be considered one of the strongest attacking units in the game.

Welcome home Gareth, we missed you.

I cannot express the utter joy I feel seeing this guy back and wearing the shirt. It is clear from listening to this interview that he has a deep and genuine connection with the club. He will give the entire club a massive lift and belief that they can go on and now challenge. I am excited at seeing the impact of the Bale effect on the other players. I think Kane and Son will be reenergised and hopefully it will get Nondembele and Lo Celso fired up. Having a world class player who has won so much must make other players lift their game. If Bale still has the pace he had then the whole momentum of the team will change. With Doherty and Requilon attacking down both flanks and creating width the prospect of Bale. Kane and Son flying into the middle is mouthwatering.if we can bring in Sonny’s pal at CB and the young Wolfsburg striker then this will be the best transfer window since ENIC arrived.

Gareth will need some time to reach the fitness levels required, I hope the expectations of him are not too great by some, but he’s still an incredible signing considering everything. The link up with Ben Davies will be underestimated , but not with me , I’m sure they would have had conversations before this homecoming, and thankfully he no longer has to face Charlie psycho Adam , who tried to end Gareth’s career on a number of occasions and was the start of his injury problems. Croeso Gareth !

The king returns. Now we all need to be a little patient with him, he’s not played a lot of football lately and is currently carrying a knee injury. But he’s still a world class player as can be seen by the way he’s carried Wales over the last two years. I bet Mou is as happy as a kid at Christmas with 2 top players coming into the squad.

I hope just because he took number 9, it does not mean we are not getting a new “number 9”. With the run of games we have coming, Harry could be gassed and/or crocked by the time Bale is ready to go.
