Video: Tottenham boss states media was confused on the return date of Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane didn’t participate in any training sessions or preseason friendlies.

Following Kane’s participation in the UEFA Euros with the England national team, the striker went on holiday before he had to return and put an end to the speculation over his future.

There were various reports that the 28-year-old striker had decided to take the radical approach of not showing up to push a transfer to Manchester City.

However, Kane’s absence from the London-based club’s training sessions a week ago was part of the plan states manager Nuno Espírito Santo during his press conference with the media.

Santo stated that the confusion lay with the media, but for Tottenham, there was none as this was the intended schedule date for Kane.

“There was no confusion at all. [Kane] had to submit himself to the protocols of the quarantine,” Santo said. “He is here with us. He’s a Tottenham player. He’s here with us. We have to think about tomorrow.”

Absolutely. Sick of the world class facilities nonsense when we have a squad choc-full of clowns. No wonder Harry wants out.

There’s clearly an issue because the owners have let everyone down leading up to, and post stadium move. Tricked and hoodwinked them. The fans, the players, the managers and coaches and Harry Kane. Kane actually holds some power in the whole thing and he gets slagged off for exercising it? These fans of ENIC can go and get fu*cked…

Yep, it’s reaching comedic proportions now. We have the vaccine, the rest is virtue signaling…

Very true, there some nasty little bar stewards amongst Spurs fans, including one or two that stalk this site, mark down posts but haven’t got the balls to actually say why. Losers.

However, it was horrid to see Kane get criticised left, right and centre by the same fans who had been the first to proudly chant “he’s one of our own”. Didn’t really take much for them to turn on him, did it? Hopefully it was just a tiny percentage of fans on social media.

Still, Spurs and/or Kane himself could have quashed all rumours on day one, leaving no one in doubt. The fact that no one did tells me there’s more to it than mere “media confusion”.

So really nothing to see here, move along now. The last two weeks of a media feeding frenzy that made money for a good few people was all a figment of so called journalists imaginations. Well Harry Kane is staying for the last three years of his contract. I’m delighted with that

Yesssss..all a circus. Kane still not gone, Pogba staying….Messi at PSG…
Why did you buy another creative player for a massive price when you claim poverty and already have tons of creative players and are desperate for a striker and there just so happens to be the top striker in the world equally desperate to move eh city??

Enjoy the show. That’s all it is.
