Video N’ Data Analysis: Tanguy Ndombele’s Impact Against Dinamo Zagreb

Tanguy had a great game with a typically strong total successful actions percentage and a damn fine 92% successful passing accuracy. Thankfully these stats do not conceal a Harry Winks type of affair that didn’t achieve anything tangible.

It was the midfield where Zagreb tried to gain leverage, but between Tanguy and Moussa, they didn’t find much luck.

Playing two defensive midfielders against this lost was a shrewd move by José and Tanguy was our most effective player in respect of ground duels.

After endless and frequently unsuccessful experimentation with our midfield, we appear to have 3 players that can interchange without disaster ensuing.

More, please.

I don’t understand the lack of Tanguy appreciation from some posters around here. Our best midfielder alongside Hojbjerg, and even his iffy fitness has been improving steadily. Should have had a penalty last night too.
