Liverpool FC is chasing Manchester City for the Premier League title, and this past weekend, The Reds were given some help with Tottenham Hotspur pulling off an impressive road win.
Tottenham led 2-1 at one point in the game, but Manchester City tied it late with a penalty kick by Riyad Mahrez. However, Harry Kane scored the game-winner minutes later to give Spurs the 3-2 win.
Nonetheless, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp expressed his surprise when he found out that it was Tottenham instead of Manchester City to get the 3-2 victory.
“I was on my home when it was 2-1 Tottenham,” Klopp said, per HITC. “Then I arrived at home and didn’t follow it anymore because I was sure Man City would equalize.”
“Then we went out, the driver was very excited and told me that it was 2-2. Then 3-2. When he said 3-2, I thought Man City won 3-2. Then when he said, ‘they won 3-2’. I was like, ‘oh,’ that was my reaction.”
