This was a textbook example of not taking your eye off the ball’s flight path, then ensuring that you direct the ball with your head, by looking directly where you want the ball to go. Sounds obvious, but most headers have alarmingly random outcomes.
Kane’s second incorporated a similar technique, but was far more brutal in the execution, in order to make sure it got past the ‘keeper.

I think we remember “quality” with rose tinted specs. When you consider some of the teams lineker and Charlton scored against. I generally prefer to look at goals in competitive games as generally it’s a far better mark.

If Kane keeps scoring against this sort of gash, he will definitely break the England scoring record. Which makes it a ridiculous comparison when you look at the quality of England’s opponents of yesteryear that the top ex-England strikers were up against.

I agree, Sterling is very 1 dimensional player. 2 of Kanes last night also came from set pieces, and you could argue, although the delivery was great, it was a case of poor defending. His 2nd, who leaves arguably the most lethal striker in football unmarked on a corner??
I think he got 1 against Montenegro, 1 against Bulgaria, the hat trick was Bulgaria at home few months ago and 2 were pens. He always seems to be serving Sterling and not being reciprocated. BT sports! Ensuring corruption well into the next decade.🤠

Thats not a competition, when I think the qualification battles years ago England had to endure. This is just another embarrassing nail in footballs coffin.
